At the time of flood, even wild animals were given refuge in Noah's ark. So they were saved from destruction. St.Gertrude once got a vision similar to this.The saint saw many wild animals, lions, bears, and leopards, seeking refuge under the spread mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary not only did not reject them, but she mercifully accepted and cherished them. Even the most hardened sinners are not abandoned when they seek refuge in Mary. They are accepted and saved from eternal damnation. Teachings of the church also refer to Mary as Noah's Ark. Let us also pray, Noah's ark, pray for us
